Know This
Moving.
Walking away from memories lived.
Maybe even running.
You try to rectify the “before”.
But it’s difficult.
The old paths are engrained between your synapses.
The brain remembers against your wishes.
Will the before effect the after?
Pessimism rushes over you like a wave of nausea.
All because you do not know.
What I wish you would know is this: you have the strength.
Even if you fall back into the bogs and pits.
Even if you’ve been stretched and pulled till the compass makes a 360° turn.
Even if you become bruised from the abuse.
Even if your muscles become limp, your bones break.
Even if you find yourself alone with no one to hold. No one’s love to shield you.
Even if all this passes and you are desperate for a Good Samaratin.
Know this:
Someone fervently believes in you.
Someone longs for your triumph over evil more desperately than you.
Someone wants you to find the right directions.
Someone hopes you’ll be happy. Joyful. Ecstatic!
Some one wants to hold you.
Someone loves you.
And the lovely thing is, you don’t have to give yourself away.
Someone already did.
